For some reason whenever I hear Arena, however, I get turned off. Not quite sure why, maybe just because of the shallow implementations of arena modes that have been done in the past.
Not necessarily by Bungie. I wonder how similar it will be to Firefight in Reach. I am actually pretty excited for them to mix it up and not provide a raid. An arena style survival mode could be done poorly, but I am glad that they are giving this a shot. The idea of capping my level again just so i can do the stupid raid does not sound like fun. I would be much more willing to participate in something like a horde mode at this point.
Bungie also made some notable changes to a couple of Martian strikes and to both raids. Agreed that strike was the worst offender of the bunch. All the strike end bosses could have dropped the amount of health they had though. I am surprised they only did it for this boss.
